b) provides health and social services that are accessible to all Yukoners without discrimination;

Definitions 1 Définitions In this Act Les définitions qui suivent s’appliquent à la présente loi. “accountability agreement ” means the accountability agreement referred to in

section 36; “entente de responsabilité” “accumulated funding deficit”, in respect of the health authority, means a negative amount determined by the formula A - B where A equals assets, including tangible capital assets, prepaid assets, cash and cash equivalents, temporary and portfolio investments, amounts due from the Government of Yukon, accounts receivable, loans receivable, inventories and retirement benefit assets, in the statement of financial position as shown in the audited financial statements, and « Comité de la santé des Premières Nations du Yukon »

(3) Before the Minister makes a recommendation to assign a different English or French name for the health authority, and subject to the timeline set out in paragraph 71(2)(a), the Minister and the Yukon First Nations’ health committee must make reasonable efforts to reach consensus on the new name to be assigned to the health authority.

(1) The health authority is not an institution of the Government of Yukon and, except to the extent that an agency relationship is created by a contract, the health authority is not an agent of the Government of Yukon.

a) appoint a chair from among the members of the board; and

(1) The Minister must, in consultation with the board, establish an accountability agreement to be entered into by the Minister and the board, that is consistent with the approved strategic plan, for the purposes of setting out the roles, responsibilities, obligations and fiscal resources to achieve the strategic priorities and the expected results for the health authority.

(1) The Hospital Privileges Appeal Board consisting of either three or five members, established under the Hospital Act as that Act existed immediately before the coming into force of

section 86, is continued as the Medical Staff Privileges Appeal Board.
