OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated February 20, 2002, pursuant to Sections 46 and 52 of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act,

Chapter 2 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 2000, the Appropriations Act, 2000,

Chapter 2 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 2001, the Appropriations Act, 2001, the

Interpretation Act, and all other authority in her vested, is pleased, effective February 8, 2002, to amend Order in Council 2002-45 by a. deleting paragraph A. and substituting the following: A.

Whereas

Section 5 of the Appropriations Act, 2000, S.N.S., 2000,

Chapter 2, and

Section 5 of the Appropriations Act, 2001, S.N.S., 2001,

Chapter 2 (collectively, the "Appropriations Acts"), read as follows: 5 The Governor in Council is authorized, for purposes of Sections 46 and 52 of the Provincial Finance Act, and the Minister of Finance is authorized, for purposes of borrowing for a term of greater than one calendar year pursuant to Sections 47 and 52 of that Act, to borrow or raise by way of loan on the credit of the Province, either before or after the expiration of the said fiscal year, and in addition to borrowings authorized by other enactments, the sum of $1,500,000,000 for the public service. 5 The Governor in Council is authorized, for purposes of Sections 46 and 52 of the Provincial Finance Act, and the Minister of Finance is authorized, for purposes of borrowing for a term of greater than one calendar year pursuant to Sections 47 and 52 of that Act, to borrow or raise by way of loan on the credit of the Province, either before or after the expiration of the said fiscal year, and in addition to borrowings authorized by other enactments, the sum of $1,500,000,000 for the public service. (

b) striking out "Appropriations Act" in paragraph G. and substituting "Appropriations Acts"; and (

c) adding immediately after "Appropriations Act, 2000," found in the third line of the paragraph immediately following paragraph I., "Chapter 2 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 2001, the Appropriations Act, 2001,".
