Bill No.6 of 1941. A BILL TO AMEND THE WORKMEN'S COMPEN SATION ACT, 1938 NOTE. This Bill amends The Workmen's Compensation Act, 1938. The effect of this amendment is to bring the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen under the Act, leaving only the Order of Railway Conductors in Alberta outside the scope of the Act.

The Bill has been prepared at the request of the Chairman of the Alberta Sub-Legislative Board of the said brotherhood, the request being supported by satisfac tory proof that the constitution of the order has been com plied with and that a vote of the members resulted in a substantial majority in favour of the members being placed under The Workmen's Compensation Act, 1938. The Brotherhood were outside the Act as the result of a vote taken in when it, together with the Order of Railway Conductors, voted to remain outside the Act. W. S.

An Act to amend The Workmen's Compensation Act, 1938. (Assented to ,1941.) HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as "The Workmen's CompensOr tion Act Amendment Act, 1941." 2. The Workmen's Compensation Act, being

chapter of the Statutes of Alberta, 1938, is hereby amended as to

section thereof by striking out paragraph (

d) and by substituting therefor the following: "(
