OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries dated February 28, 2001, pursuant to subsections 4(1) and (7) of

Chapter 117 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Dairy Commission Act,

Section 17 and subsection 18(1) of

Chapter 235 of the said Revised Statutes, the

Interpretation Act, and

Section 3 of

Chapter 308 of the said Revised Statutes, as amended, the Natural Products Act, is pleased to: (1) revoke the appointment of Chris Power of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and Vice-Chair of the Nova Scotia Dairy Commission, effective March 31, 2001; (2) revoke the appointment of Michael Scothorn of R.R.#1 Milford Station, Hants County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Dairy Commission, effective March 31, 2001; (3) revoke the appointment of Hattie Dyck of Truro, Colchester County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Dairy Commission, effective March 31, 2001; (4) revoke the appointment of Enid Cooper of R.R.#1 Great Village, Colchester County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Dairy Commission, effective March 31, 2001; (5) revoke the appointment of Donald Newcombe of R.R.#1 Port Williams, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council, effective March 31, 2001; (6) appoint Chris Power of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of office of one year commencing April 1, 2001, and ending March 31, 2002; (7) appoint Michael Scothorn of R.R.#1 Milford Station, Hants County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of office of one year commencing April 1, 2001, and ending March 31, 2002; (8) appoint Enid Cooper of R.R.#1 Great Village, Colchester County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of office of one year commencing April 1, 2001, and ending March 31, 2002; (9) appoint Dave Davies of Coldbrook, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of office of five years commencing April 1, 2001, and ending March 31, 2006; (10) rescind all previous Orders in Council including Order in Council 81-559, dated April 28, 1981, establishing remuneration of the Chair and members of the Nova Scotia Marketing Board (Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council); (11) determine remuneration to be paid to the Chair of the Board for performing duties associated with the chair, shall be $150.00 per day and the remuneration to be paid to the members of the Board for performing their duties associated with the Board, shall be $100.00 per day; and (12) determine that reasonable traveling and living expenses that are necessarily incurred by the members of the Board in carrying out their duties on the Board shall be paid to the members in accordance with the established guidelines approved for civil servants.
