EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the Prepaid Funerals Services Act does not apply to a church, place of worship or non-profit organization that operates a cemetery.

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PREPAID FUNERAL SERVICES ACT

Prohibition

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

SN2000 cP-18.1

Section 4 of the Prepaid Funeral Services Act is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following:

(3) This Act does not apply to a church, place of worship or non-profit organization that operates a cemetery.
