CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities Act (Assented to May 30, 2001)

Preamble

WHEREAS the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities was continued as a body corporate by

Chapter of the Statutes of Saskatchewan 1986-87-88; and

WHEREAS the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities has by Petition prayed for

an Act to empower the corporation to invest its net assets in any form of property or security in which a reasonable, prudent investor would invest; and

WHEREAS it is expedient to grant the prayer of the said Petition:

NOW THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities Amendment Act, 2001. S.S. 1986-87-88, c. 01, new

section 14 The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities Act is amended by repealing

section and substituting the following: “Investment of net assets The corporation may invest its net assets in any form of property or security in which a reasonable, prudent investor would invest”.
